We were hired as subcontractors to work on a project with a short deadline. We were provided with architectural drawings and stability calculations for the foundation slab of a temporary warehouse. The design presumed simple rectangular concreet slab devided in two parts at the middle. All design principles were followed. After a month a change in design arriwed - the original design of the slab was changed since it was decided that metal construction of the tent is going to be placed on separate foundations instead on the slab. The deadline was the work was only two days. We sucessfully completed the work in that timefraime, with special attention to the areas where the slab changes its dimensions.

The main difference is that in the 1. variant the slab acts as foundation slab and carries the load from construction and atmospheric influences, therefore it was reinforced on both sides by mesh. In the 2. variant the load goes to the separate prefabricated individual foundation blocks, and the slab transforms into goundfloor slab, therefore it was reinforced by mesh only in the upper side.

The drawing shows a part of the slab of the front part of the warehouse, the peculiarity of which is that the reinforcement mesh is laid in both zones, the reinforcement bars only maintain the stability of the edge. For the 1.option, the number of installed reinforcement bars of different diameters, sizes and shapes is 547.24 kg in 5 positions, and the number of installed reinforcement meshes of different diameters, sizes and shapes is 7,095.80 kg in 19 positions.

На чертеже изображена часть плиты передней части склада, особенность котороя состоит в том, что арматурная сетка уложена только в верхней зоне, из-за изменения геометрии арматурные стержни разнородны, но все равно удерживают только устойчивость края. Для 2. вариант количество установленных арматурных стержней различного диаметра, размера и формы составляет 841,96 кг по 14 позициям, а количество установленных арматурных сетки различного диаметра, размера и формы составляет 3.372,15 кг по 7 позициям.

На чертеже изображена часть плиты задней части склада, особенность котороя состоит в том, что арматурная сетка укладывается в обеих зонах, арматурные стержни только удерживают устойчивость края. Для 1. вариант количество установленных арматурных стержней различного диаметра, размера и формы составляет 156,34 кг по 4 позициям, а количество установленных арматурных сетки различного диаметра, размера и формы составляет 7.141,68 кг по 21 позициям.

The drawing shows a part of the slab of the rear part of the warehouse, the peculiarity of which is that the reinforcement mesh is laid only in the upper zone, due to the change in geometry, the reinforcement bars are heterogeneous, but still only maintain the stability of the edge. For 2. option, the number of installed reinforcement bars of different diameters, sizes and shapes is 498.10 kg in 11 positions, and the number of installed reinforcement meshes of different diameters, sizes and shapes is 3,382.17 kg in 8 positions.
